Download our “VHtrails” Trail App
What is it?
The "VHtrails" app is a free hiking app for smartphones that provides directions to the many preserves and parks on Vinalhaven with hiking trails, as well as navigational support when on the trails.
How do I download it?
The app can be found by searching for "VHtrails" in the App Store (iPhone) or Play Store (Android), and allowing it to access the device's location. If you are using the app on an Android phone (any brand), check for an update in Play Store to make sure you have the latest version.
Check For Updates
Updates are made to the app as we add and make changes to trails, so be sure to regularly update your app from the app menu when you are connected to wifi (tap "Update Offline Data") in order to access the current version while on the trails.
Hiking
Our preserve guides show you how to get there, some history, and point out what features, flora, and fauna to expect from the trails. You can print brochures here.
