Summer Bird Walks

Hermit Thrush nest

On several mornings this summer (check calendar), you are invited to join Kirk Gentalen as he guides a walk to see and hear the birds at various locations on Vinalhaven. You may not get close enough to see a hermit thrush nest like this one, but you can be sure Kirk will help you to see and hear Vinalhaven's finest. Co-sponsored with Maine Coast Heritage Trust, car pooling for these walks starts at Skoog Park.
